ü     You wish to enrol for an entire course of study

Please refer to English Presentation at http://www.medicina.unige.it  for general information about Genoa, our University and its Medical Faculty. Most foreign students get to register at our University through the Italian Cultural Center (Istituto Italiano di Cultura, IIC) in their home Country. Please note that the IIC is the main organization administering scholarships to study in Italy and of issuing visa. You are strongly advised to contact the IIC nearest to your before contacting Italian universities if you wish to study in our Country. A list of IICs with their local sites is available at http://www.esteri.it/MAE/EN/Ministero/Rappresentanze/Istituti_Cultura/default.htm?LANG=EN.  Information on visas is also available from SASS (see list of contacts  below)

Access to our courses is by competitive examination (numerus clausus). The admission test for the Academic Year starting in November is usually held the first week of September. There are separate quotas allotted for Italian/EU applicants and for applicants from Countries outside the EU. In some courses, special quotas are reserved for nationals of China. Foreign applicants are requested to pass a test of Italian language (also held the first week of September).
